Commit To Climate Season 3: Krungthai-AXA Life launches next stage of its Climate Change Strategy for Environmental Impact

Krungthai-AXA Life Insurance, a leader of green insurer and  health and protection insurance, recently launched ‘Commit to Climate season 3’, the next phase of its climate change strategy, under the theme “360 degree of Climate Change and Biodiversity”.

Commit To Climate’ was inspired by the conviction that when we act together, the results are more powerful and far-reaching. Through the following initiatives, that will run throughout the four quarters of the year, our ambition is to address critical issues for nature and communities in all regions.

Q1 - Sea Life; Seagrass can store up to 35 times more carbon than tropical forests: KTAXA will invite the public to decorate seagrass for turtles online. For every ‘Like’ and ‘Share’, KTAXA will donate 5 Baht to the Phuket Marine Biological Centre (PMBC) to plant sea grass. One lucky customer will also win the opportunity to join a day trip to Phuket with the well-known environmental influencer K. Tao, to release turtles safely to the ocean and plant seagrass.

Q2 - Wild Life: More than 3 billion wild animals die from wildfires – 80% from smoke inhalation: KTAXA will invite the public to create a ‘fire protection line’ via an online game. For every ‘Like’ and ‘Share’, KTAXA will donate 5 Baht to purchase equipment to make fireproof trench lines at Chiang Rai.  The 50 lucky winners who have the highest score will also receive a flower plant.

Q3 - River Life: 13.5 Ton/Day of garbage is thrown into the river.  Invite the public to play an online garbage sorting game to build awareness and provide knowledge about sorting trash. For every ‘Like’ and ‘Share’, KTAXA will donate 5 Baht. KTAXA will partner with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to collect the garbage in the river and donate recycle bins.

Q4 - Air life: PM 2.5 results in the death of living things that may become extinct. Invite people to play an online game and to find out more about C02 and human activities. The three winners with the most likes and shares will receive an electric bicycle. For every ‘Like’ and ‘Share’, KTAXA will donate 5 Baht to a pet hospital to treat animals from polluted air.

Speaking about the campaign, CEO Krungthai-AXA Life, Ms. Sally O’Hara said “The climate crisis affects us all, which is why Krungthai-AXA Life’s ‘Commit to Climate’ campaigns gives all our stakeholders the chance to get involved in protecting, restoring and providing education about their environment. This campaign is another important step to engaging many more people to act for the future of our planet and supports our core purpose – ‘to act for human progress by protecting what matters.”
